Dr. Tyler Martin

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Tyler Martin was born in Kansas but spent most of his early life in Fort Worth, Texas.  Growing up he enjoyed hunting, team roping and showing livestock.  As a young adult he found an interest in veterinary medicine and started work as a veterinary technician at the age of 14, working for a cherished mentor in the Fort Worth area.  While attending Colorado State University for his undergraduate degree his interest in veterinary medicine extended even further, expanding his  experience from companion animal medicine to wildlife care and husbandry.  After completing his undergraduate degree he continued on to earn his DVM from Colorado State University.  Upon his return to Texas after graduation he completed an immersive 1 year internship in mixed animal medicine and surgery and still enjoys the diversity of treating “all creatures great and small.”  While he is a jack of all trades when it comes to preventative care, medicine and surgery, he most enjoys orthopedic procedures and restoring fractured bones or damaged skeletal structures.  When he is not at work you can find him spending time with his family, hunting or fishing

Dr. Gabby Martin

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Gabby Martin was born and raised in Arizona.  From an early age she took interest in veterinary medicine as well as acquired an unhealthy fixation with horses.  Working in veterinary practices, boarding kennels, and teaching riding lessons prepared her for the path to veterinary school.  After completing her undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona she attended veterinary school at Colorado State University.  While completing her DVM, she focused on both companion animal medicine and equine practice.  Upon graduating, she completed an internship at an exclusively equine referral hospital, and stayed on as an associate veterinarian for an additional 7 years.  While she enjoys preventative care and all matters equine, she is predominantly busy managing reproductive and neonatal cases on-farm or at the clinic, including breeding, embryo transfer and recipient mare management.  When she isn’t running the roads or seeing haul-in cases at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family (especially her two amazing kiddos), cooking and riding reining horses.

Dr. Chloe Gates

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine

Dr. Chloe Gates was raised in the Texas panhandle in the small town of Bushland. She grew up owning many different animals including horses, cows, various fowl, dogs, cats, and even ostriches, and her parents were never surprised when she brought home a stray. After graduating high school, she attended Oklahoma State University earning both a Bachelor’s in Animal Science followed by a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Gates found a passion for equine medicine while in school and pursued that by completing a rigorous internship at Weatherford Equine Medical Center. She stayed on as an associate for another four years before joining the PPVC family. Here, she continues to serve the equine community, but has also found enjoyment on the small animal side, especially with soft tissue surgeries. In her spare time, she enjoys riding horses, adopting homeless animals, match making (for people and pets), and enjoys a good glass of whiskey or red wine.
